HI-QDPM
The HI-QDPM is a low cost meter similar to the HI-QCPM but with added functionality and control. It is part of Otek’s line of versatile panel instruments and features a 5-digit LED display with a menu driven keypad, providing a great solution for a wide range of process control and monitoring needs.
By simple front panel push-button setup, one meter with a DC signal conditioner can be programmed to display a large number of variables and scales, including watts, volts, amps, RPM, percent, DC voltage, current, strain gauges or process signals. The temperature signal conditioner allows the user to select between 6 popular thermocouples or 2 RTD types. Color options for the LED display include red or green with more available upon request. This meter also includes two alarm set points that are programmable via the four button panel. Input linearization including polynomials, X-Y tables (TC & RTD), flow calculations, and a variety of other mathematical functions make this digital meter an ideal tool for process monitoring and automation. The voltage-to-frequency input signal conditioner converts the meter to an integrating totalizer or rate meter for voltage or current inputs. Outputs may be scaled to display different variable and scales including watts and total kilowatt hours, flow and total flow. Custom curves may be programmed in the meter for accurately measuring nonlinear frequency or voltage inputs. Plug-in signal conditioners for AC (True RMS) voltage and current or low level load cells are available.
The HI-QDPM makes 60 readings per second (50 for 50Hz operation) for fast control response, true peak reading capability and an analog output that accurately tracks the signal input. The meter has an adaptive digital filter that can automatically select the best time constant for minimum noise, but yet responds rapidly to an actual change in signal level. The peak value of the input signal can be displayed by a push of a button on the front panel. Auto tare allows the meter display to be set to zero for any input signal level. Transistors or dual 10 amp relays may be added to provide control outputs with the set points programmed by front panel pushbuttons. Its ability to transmit readings makes this digital panel meter ideal for integration with DCS, SCADA and other control system applications. This digital meter has options for 0 to 10V and 0-20mA analog to drive chart recorders, remote displays or for transmission to a central control room.
