Digital Bargraph Meters

 

Otek offers a variety of digital bargraph meters in both switchboard and edgewise styles, LED or LCD displays.  Many of the bargraph indicators feature single color or automatic tri-color bars.  LCD bargraph meters offer an optional automatic tri-color backlight.

The LED switchboard meters and edgewise meters provide a bright digital and bar display for excellent view-ability/visibility of virtually unlimited process parameters, including DC Volts, current, temperature, RMS amps, etc., in practically any application.  The state-of-the-art automatic color changing and programmable bargraph indicators provide a high HMI factor; the digital bars and displays offer higher accuracy than most analog instruments.

Single, dual or triple display models are available in different sizes (including 1/8 DIN), externally or loop powered, with or without digital display.  Select bargraph meters are also nuclear qualified.

We shrunk the EBD!  By popular demand, we took our popular EBD (6x1.7x2") and made it fit in the industry's most popular panel meter size 1/8 DIN (3.6x1.6x2"), and kept all the outstanding features.  This is a reduction of almost 50% in size and price, but not in performance and quality!  The new BDM is ready for your DCS, SCADA or stand alone application with its autotricolor bargraph (popularized by OTEK in the nuclear and military industries) for best HMI (just like traffic lights).

GRADES: 3 grades are available: Hi-Rel Industrial (see specs.), Mil-Spec to specific standards, Nuclear to 10CFR50-B and to your requirements. Contact OTEK for availability.

The EBD (LED Bargraph Display) is a 4-digit, automatic tricolor bargraph, edgewise digital panel meter. The bargraph display allows for quick, customizable process monitoring, with easy-to-read limit markings and great visibility in a popular 6" form factor. The LED digital display provides the precision required for critical operations. Input signal types range from 4-20mA current loops to RTD temperature-sensing to strain-gages—almost any type of sensor signal can be used! The meter can be powered externally with both AC and DC voltages and is configured with a user-friendly command set over any RS-232, RS-385, or USB network. It can function as a programmable controller, with 4 relays and a DAC for voltage or 4-20mA current loop transmission. Let the EBD be the digital gauge for your system today!

OTEK's HI-Q101 (1.39"W x 6.60"H x 3.27"D) is not only a form, fit and function replacement of the BE051 & BE101 but a 21st Century technology equivalent of our successful HI-Q Series. The look is similar but the performance is different. Panel cutout (1.06"W x 5.60"H).

You get many included features and options not available before, such as:

*Relays: 2 each with S.P.D.T. 1 amp contacts, or Open Collector Transistors (O.C.T.) for fast switching.

*Limits: 100% adjustable via 15 turn potentiometers on the rear of the unit.

*Display: 101 monolythic bright Red LED display with four (4) Red full digits and "-" sign with over/underange indication for either vertical or horizontal mounting.

*Housing: Same as BE Series with added  rear slots for new options.

*Connector: Same as the BE (edgeboard) or the new "Euro" style plug-in screw terminal connector for 16-22 ga. wire.

*Serial I/O: None, RS232D, RS485, 7 Bit Parallel or USB and you can even power the HI-Q101 from the USB!

*Power Input: 5V non-isolated (like the BE) or 5, 12, 24 & 48VDC or 90-265VAC isolated.

SIGNAL CONDITIONERS:  The HI-Q101 offers over 20 input signal conditioners (see ordering information and description) for all your needs.  Take special note of our patented (#7,626,378) A.C. Powerless™ options (8, B, Y, and Z) for A.C. power line monitoring/control without requiring power supply.  The signal powers the HI-Q101.

 

The HI-Q 127 is part of Otek’s line of versatile switchboard process controllers that can be customized or programmed to fit a variety of process control systems and applications. This circular instrument has four displays, allowing it to display a large number of variables and scales, including watts, volts, amps, RPM, percent, or any sensor output such as a 4 to 20 mA output. The backlight for the displays will automatically change color based on user set limits. Standard colors include red, green, and amber, with more available upon request. One display is a circular 51- segment LED array with 2% resolution. The other three displays are two 3-digit displays and one 7-digit display; all capable of displaying ASCII standard characters. Input linearization including polynomials, X-Y tables (TC & RTD), flow calculations, and a variety of other mathematical functions make this digital meter an ideal tool for process monitoring and automation. The HI-Q 127 is available with 3 A/D inputs (18 bit) with >30 signal conditioners, and 16 bit DAC outputs, up to four 10 A relays or up to eight open collector transistors are available as well as isolated 28 V DC out for transmitter. This digital switchboard display is also fitted with RS232, 485, 422 or USB I/O connections for interaction with DCS, SCADA, or stand alone process control systems and computers.

Applications include vehicle, tractor, and train display for multiple variables such as speed, odometer, distance, fuel, temperature, RPM and many others.

The HI-QSLIM series is a part of Otek’s low cost smart indicators that are versatile and programmable. This series has a variety of display options including a bar graph display with a 51-segment LED array or a 101-segment LED array and a standard 2-digit LED display, available in horizontal or vertical configuration, and a simple 8-digit remote display with limited alpha charachters. Standard colors include red or green with other colors available upon request. As with many of Otek’s products, this meter series has the ability to display a number of variables and scales using 4-20 mA or VDC inputs, including watts, volts, amps, RPM, percent, or any other sensor output. The HI-QSLIM models feature a serial input allowing for use as a serial remote display, or a slave display, for plant intranet.
